This year, is showcasing over 70 Brooklyn-based brands that specialize in contemporary furniture, lighting, and accessories. Taking place at Greenpoint’s Brooklyn Expo Center as part of , BKLYN DESIGNS proves that the borough’s burgeoning creative community shows no signs of slowing down. Attractions such as David Rockwell’s celebrated —which encourages children to freely reconfigure an assortment of cerulean foam blocks—make a return, while others such as Todd Bracher’s quartz crystal Vessel Chandelier for are new to the roster. Still Alive Lights
Custom chandelier and pendant manufacturer showcases 3-D printed fixtures that take the form of bears, elephants, and flowers, among other nature-inspired designs. The booth even features a 3-D printer creating a bear-shaped table light, offering insight into the company’s innovative process.
