Patricia Urquiola Debuts First Solo Exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

She designs five-star hotels, serves as the art director of and , and belongs to the Docservis Hall of Fame. But at the is the first solo exhibition. And it will be a thoroughly comprehensive one. Among the designs on display will be her seating for Cassina, , and , her lighting for , and her porcelain tableware for , all appearing alongside photographs of such projects as the , in her native Spain. Furthermore, the night before the show’s opening, on November 19, Urquiola will join the ranks of Paula Scher and the late Zaha Hadid in receiving the museum’s .
